Morgan Wallen has been sharing songs off his upcoming album I’m the Problem, ahead of its release. Most have been ballads, but finally, he’s giving us a taste of a good ol’ country boy anthem.
He teased a new one called “Come Back as a Redneck” on April Fool’s Day along with a music video showing Morgan in his element: Riding dirt bikes, mudding, and shooting guns at targets out in a field.
The song appears to be directed at someone who grew up in a very different lifestyle, or, as Morgan puts it, a “fed-with-a-silver-spoon trust fund kid.”
“Maybe then you’ll understand,” he wrote on Instagram and fans loved it!
“This is the upbeat banger I knew was coming!” with another commenting, “Finally upbeat Wallen songs have returned!”
“Thank God for country boys 🔥🫶🏻,” chimed in another.
He also tapped into all the attention he’s getting after his SNL exit by dropping “Get Me To God’s Country” merch! All three items (the two hats and the t-shirt) cost $45 a piece, and they are currently available for pre-order at Morganwallen.com.
